For the past 8 years, I have been helping run our family business.  With the increasingly troubled economy, We have done  what our Federal Government refuses to do: Trim Budgets, Cut Costs, and Decrease Wages - Starting with our own salaries.  My experience throughout these troubled economic times will allow me to make Federal Budgetary decisions that are sensible and practical for the American Taxpayers.   
     The most satisfying aspect of our business is that I interact with people on a daily basis.  Our customers are hard-working, regular Hoosiers.  Because I talk to and interact with average Hoosiers day in & day out, I see firsthand the struggle and hardship that much of Indiana is experiencing - myself included.  I have seen many of these individuals lose their jobs, homes, and livelihoods.  I will take the needs & voices of these Hoosiers to Washington and help lead Hoosiers, Indiana and the Nation down the path of prosperity once again.

     The Constitution of the United States is the most sacred document in our Nation.  It will be the First factor that I consider when reading & debating legislation.  If a particular bill does not meet the Constitutional grounds of the Federal Goverment's responsibilities, then I will not support that bill.  Furthermore, I will read every bill prior to voting.  I will ensure that the rights of you and your children are protected.

My Pledges To Indiana

#1 - If I vote for any legislation that strips or minimizes your Constitutional Rights, I will Resign Immediately.

     -- For too many years, legislation such as The Patriot Act has stripped us of our Constitutional rights. I will fight to end these violations, and prevent further Constitutional Violations from happening.

#2 - If vote for a Bill which I have not read, I will Resign Immediately.
     -- Voting blindly on a bill is irresponsible and dangerous (i.e. The Patriot Act). Therefore I will read EVERY bill in which I vote on. Furthermore, I will push for a law that FORCES each bill to be read - in its entirety - on the floors of Congress prior to any vote.

#3 - If I take money from any source other than my paycheck, I will Resign Immediately.
     -- My votes will not be bought. My Integrity is not for sale.

#4 - If I vote in favor of Military action against another Nation - I will personally Enlist in the Military
     -- As we have seen since 2001, Our Executive and Legislative Branches have no shortcomings with sending your Husbands, Wives, Sons, Daughters & Friends to War. This is concerning since only roughly 20% of current Congress Members have ever served in the Military in any capacity.  If I can have the audacity to vote 'Yes' to send your Child to war, Then I will have the fortitude to fight with them - not use their lives as political "talking points". 

#5 - If more than 3% of my Campaign Donations come from Outside Indiana, I will donate ALL non-Indiana money to Charity.
     -- In 2009, 45.6% of Mike Pence's campaign contributions consisted of funds from Persons and/or Corporations Outside of Indiana, and Dan Burton (Indiana's 5th) had  85% of his total donations from outside sources.(source: www.fec.gov)    With half or more of one's money coming from outside influences, can a person truly avoid repaying the favor? The answer is no, because they want the cash-cow to continue producing for the next election cycle.  My primary allegiances and loyalties will ALWAYS BE to the people of Indiana, not to those with the fattest wallets or biggest checkbooks. 

     Serving in Congress is a Privilege & a service to Hoosiers, not a career opportunity. 

      Now is the time for Washington to welcome Fresh Faces, Fresh Ideas & Fresh Voices to The Capitol.
